Our Farm

Bee my pollinator

Our concern for a diverse food source for our honey bees prompted us to plant  lavender - not only a beautiful drought tolerant plant but a good food source for our bees.  In 2019, we planted nearly 2500 lavender plants consisting of three varieties  - Grosso, Royal Velvet, and Folgate. In the spring of 2020 we planted an additional 1300 plants including a new variety called Melissa. And in 2021 we planted nearly 1200 new varieties called Edelweiss and Maillette.

Our Apiary

Bee my honey

Our love of the honey bee started in 2008 with two hives and has grown to over 20 hives. Our bees not only forage the lavender on our property but the rich agriculture surrounding our farm.

OUR WORK

OUR WORK

All of our work is lovingly done by our family.  From working in the hives, collecting honey, planting lavender, hoeing weeds, harvesting lavender and creating unbeelievable products, our hearts are filled with gratitude everyday that we are able to do what we love and share that with you!

ABOUT US

ABOUT US

Our love for the honey bees started in 2008 when we came across a flyer for a beekeeping class. Always fascinated by nature we immediately signed up for the class and started our apiary with two hives! We were so intrigued by the work of the honey bees that our apiary grew to over 20 hives. We share the beautiful golden gift of the hives with family and friends and named our honey D.A.M.N Good, an acronym for our family - Dan, Alex, Michelle and Nicole.

Looking for a new food source for our honey bees we decided that lavender was an excellent choice, not only a drought tolerant and beautiful plant but one that we were familiar with in our personal use and in visiting lavender farms around the country. So in 2019 we jumped right in and with the help of farming friends and family planted our lavender field and named our farm "D.A.M.N. Good Lavender Farm and Apiary". Just as the honey bees amazed us, we are once again in awe of nature and the diversity of the lavender plant.

We are excited to be on this amazing and challenging journey as lavender farmers and beekeepers and are blessed to share their gifts with you!
